Perch's Collection of Information on Marine Molluscs

Just a silly little autistic exploring the world of Marine Molluscs. Mollusca is the second largest phyllum of animals and is significantly under- explored scientifically, atleast in respect to the Chordata (the vertibrate animals). On this website you will find a comprehensive guide to different kinds of marine molluscs, my personal observations, articles I have written on scientific research and all sorts of other facts about the beautiful world of Marine Molluscs. This site is currently under construction and I actually offer no promises I can commit to this but *thumbs up emoji*. If you have any suggestions or want to reach out for any other reasons I have a tumblr: @autitm.

Introduction to Marine Molluscs

Mollusca is an immensly diverse group of invertibrates, there are around 76,000 extant species of molluscs recognised and there is estimated to be over 200,000 extant species, accounting for those not yet classified. Not only is mollusca specieous but it is also morphologically diverse, ranging from sub-milimeter benthic organisms to intertidal gastropods to intelligent octopus and 20m long Giant Squid.
